Zink Metals’ Indy Now Appearance [VIDEO]

Rebecca Zink on Fox 59 News Indy Now discussing Mother’s Day jewelry collection of gemstone necklaces

Did you happen to see our segment on Indy Now? We were thrilled to be featured live on Fox 59 News Indy Now on April 13th. Here’s a recap of our exciting TV appearance—which highlighted our stunning Mother’s Day collection—and watch the full segment below.

Our Mother's Day Jewelry Collection in the Spotlight

Our newly launched Mother’s Day collection of gemstone necklaces stole the show. Within this collection—which includes Malachite, Kyanite, Azurite, and several other gemstones—you can shower the mother in your life with a rare, one-of-a-kind, handmade necklace.

More than this, we discussed how you can find a gift for any mother in all of our collections.

For women who have more traditional styles, we suggest a necklace from the Mother’s Day gemstone collection. But for women who love bold pieces, she may like a piece from our steel and silver collections.

If the mother you’re shopping for likes a classic style with an unexpected twist, then we suggest looking at our Broken Silver collection

Options don’t stop there, as we have even more collections. When you land on Zink Metals' website, click Shop by Collection to navigate through each collection and the unique pieces.

Why is Zink Metals Jewelry Unique?

At Zink Metals, we work primarily with steel and sterling silver, but we also add gemstones and gold accents to some pieces.

Jewelry from Zink Metals is different because the pieces are bold and unexpected.

With an MFA (Master’s of Fine Art) from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, whose metals program consists of both metalsmithing (jewelry making) and blacksmithing, the two different influences have made Rebecca really think about how she wants to approach metal, particularly with the integration of the broken silver and the use of steel.

At the heart of the formation of Zink Metals is Rebecca’s mom, who helped her explore metal for the very first time. As one of Rebecca’s Girl Scout leaders growing up, they always did activities at Conner Prairie where there was an opportunity to try blacksmithing and, for Rebecca, the rest is history. She loved it and continued to dabble in blacksmithing since then. Although her focus has turned primarily to jewelry making, she calls herself a ‘metal junkie’ because she truly loves all of it.
